13th European Head and Neck Cancer Prevention Week

September 15–20, 2025

Head and neck cancers are increasingly affecting young, active individuals who take care of their health. It is a disease whose symptoms are easy to overlook, which is why prevention and early diagnosis are so important.

This year’s edition of the European Head and Neck Cancer Prevention Week will take place from September 15–20, 2025, under the slogan:
“A United Europe in the Fight Against Head and Neck Cancers – Equal Access, Equal Opportunities.”

The campaign involves 23 centres in 16 cities across Poland, covering almost all regions of the country, except for the Lubusz, Opole, Podkarpackie, and Warmian-Masurian voivodeships.

Why is this important?

As emphasized by Prof. Wojciech Golusiński, coordinator and initiator of the European Head and Neck Cancer Prevention Week:

“Our ambition is for every woman and man in Poland to know a few simple rules that help reduce the risk of disease and, if needed, allow them to reach a specialist as early as possible, increasing the chances of effective treatment.”
